Projects
OVERVIEW
MRG has a portfolio of four high-calibre, 100%-owned projects and one further project under application in Mozambique – a world-class heavy mineral sands (HMS) province.
MRG’s flagship operation, the Company has delivered Mineral Resource estimates (MREs) at three exciting Corridor deposits – Koko Massava, Nhacutse and Poiombo. Combined, MRG has identified an inventory of potential mine start-up pit options with significant high-grade zones. The deposits are in very close economic radius and approximately 40km from the proposed port at Chongoene.
MRG has discovered three large mineralised areas at Marão during a reconnaissance grid auger drilling program. With the approval of an Environmental Management Plan for the Marão 6842L licence, MRG was cleared to begin aircore drilling on these exciting targets in 2022.
A reconnaissance grid auger drilling program is set to commence at the Marruca 6846L licence area in 2022. This campaign is designed to identify targets and pave the way for aircore drilling, which MRG received clearance for with approval of an Environmental Management Plan.
Currently under application, the Linhuane project (7423L) comprises 113km2 including a 20km strike of prospective palaeodunal features. The site is near the Mutamba Joint Venture Project between Rio Tinto and Savannah Resources.
MRG has made three exploration licence applications (ELAs) in the Zambezia Province of Mozambique for Rare Earth Elements (REE) and Uranium. The new ELAs are 780km north-east of the Company’s Corridor Central and Corridor South Heavy Mineral Sands licences.
